1871 Liberty Seated Half Dollar

Designed by Christian Gobrecht, the 90% silver Liberty Seated half dollar was struck from 1839 to 1891. The obverse of the coin depicts Liberty seated on a rock, her left hand holding a liberty cap on a pole, and her right hand resting upon a shield inscribed with the word liberty. The reverse features an eagle perched on an olive branch and holding three arrows, with the denomination stated as half dol. below. Add this early American silver classic to your collection today!
