1956 Philadelphia Mint

1956 Franklin Half Dollar

Struck in 90% fine silver, Franklin half dollars were designed by U.S. Mint engraver John R. Sinnock. The obverse depicts the profile of Benjamin Franklin, based on a composite study of Franklin`s face from various sketches and paintings. The reverse features the legendary Liberty Bell with its time-honored crack. A small eagle is seen to the right of the bell to satisfy coinage regulations. The 1956 Franklin half dollar will be an attractive, historic piece in your collection!
