1879-S Morgan Silver Dollar, 3rd Reverse

The 2nd year of series 1879-S Morgan silver dollar comes with two different reverse designs. This is the "3rd Reverse" type with a "round breast" version of the eagle. As an early San Francisco Morgan issue, this silver dollar is well struck with impressive detail. Produced at "the Granite Lady" - nickname of the 2nd San Francisco Mint.
