1879-O Morgan Silver Dollar

The historic New Orleans Mint first struck Morgan silver dollars over 130 years ago in 1879. Less than 3 million "O" mint mark Morgans were produced in that initial year. These coins are precious mementos of the historic New Orleans Mint, which served three masters in 1861 - the United States, the State of Louisiana and the Confederacy - and which closed for good in 1909.
