Scarce and seldom seen, these notes have been together since they were first printed nearly 70 years ago. But you may wonder what a changeover pair is... It happens when the last sheets of an older series mixes with the first sheets of a new series. As you know, when a minor design change is made to a note, a letter is added to the series year. The last sheets of Series 1934 notes & the first sheets of 1934A notes were printed at the same time. As a result, some 1934s got mixed in with 1934As, so when the sheets were overprinted with the serial numbers and cut into individual notes, a limited number of random consecutively numbered changeover pairs were created, for example: Series 1934A C34945615, 1934 C34945614 (forward pair). Of the limited number of 1934 & 1934A changeover pairs created, most were broken up and went into circulation long ago.
