| 1900-S Liberty Head $5 Gold |

Description: |
These $5 gold pieces were struck at the San Francisco Mint during the transition of the 19th to the 20th century. The "S" mint mark on the 1900-S Liberty Head $5 gold coin is found on the reverse below the eagle. These coins were produced at the stalwart 2nd San Francisco facility, affectionately nicknamed the "Granite Lady," which in a few years would be one of few San Francisco buildings to survive the devastating 1906 earthquake and fire.
