Description: |
|
The 1892 Liberty Head $10 gold pieces were struck at the main U.S. Mint in Philadelphia and thus do not carry mint marks. The year of 1892 was very significant in U.S. coinage. New designs by Charles Barber were introduced on 3 different silver coins - the dime, quarter and half dollar. The first U.S. Commemorative coin was also produced - the 1892 Columbian half dollar struck in conjunction with the World`s Columbian Exposition in Chicago.
