| 1912-S Indian Head $10 Gold |

Description: |
The 1912-S Indian Head $10 gold piece (also called an eagle) was produced at the second San Francisco Mint facility - a stalwart granite structure that was one of very few downtown buildings to survive the great 1906 earthquake and fire. The obverse of the coin depicts Liberty wearing an impressively detailed Indian headdress, while the reverse features a stately eagle perched upon a branch. The "S" mint mark is found above the left tip of the branch.
