| 1910-D Indian Head $5 Gold |

Description: |
The 1910-D $5 gold piece was struck over 95 years ago at the Denver Mint, which began U.S. coin production a few years earlier in 1906. Also known as half eagles, $5 gold coins were first struck in 1795. The popular Indian Head $5 gold coins of 1908-1929 were the final series of circulating half eagles. They bear an unusual incuse design featuring devices etched in relief below the flat surface of the coin.
