The 1902-O Morgan dollar is the most affordable 1902 silver dollar. This issue was struck in 90% fine silver over a century ago at the New Orleans Mint. When that mint ceased operations in 1909, bags of Uncirculated 1902-O Morgan silver dollars were shipped to the Philadelphia Mint and sealed in a vault. When the vault was opened in late 1962, many 1902-O silver dollars were released and the issue remains modestly priced for collectors.
