Struck during the presidency of Thomas Jefferson, the 1806 Draped Bust half cent is a prized copper coin from early America. The 1806 half cent comes in 3 varieties, due to differing sizes of the "6" in the date, as well as the presence or absence of stems in the wreath on the reverse. The 1806 Large 6 with Stems features a "6" much larger than the "180" (apparently the "6" meant for quarters was hand punched onto some 1806 half cents). In addition, the wreath has stems that extend beyond the bow.
