America’s iconic symbol of freedom and liberty – the Liberty Bell – is shown on this beautiful 1/2 ounce round in 99.9% silver! Created especially for Littleton Coin, our exclusive round shows the beloved bell in frosted detail, accented by mirrorlike surfaces. The reverse bears an eagle with wings extended and the inscription liberty below.
According to legend, the Liberty Bell rang to mark the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 8, 1776. Originally cast in England in 1752 for the Pennsylvania State House, the bell cracked the first time it rang. So Americans John Pass & John Stow melted it down and made a new one. Today the names Pass & Stow are still proudly emblazed on the bell above the newer crack that probably occurred in the 1840s and expanded when the bell was rung for Washington’s birthday in 1846. Shown in all its glory on this precious silver round, America’s proud symbol of independence is ready to highlight your collection – get yours today!
