When our buyers first saw these classic $5 Liberty Heads the ANA’s World’s Fair of Money, they did a double take. That’s because this group of gold coins was totally original and all the pieces displayed nice color. Fortunately, the buyers had the opportunity to handpick gold half eagles from the larger group, and now for the first time, we’re offering them to you!

If you’ve ever wanted a nice, original, classic $5 Liberty Head, this is your chance. These 90% gold pieces have been untouched, staying all together since the day they were sent to Europe. After FDR’s Gold Recall Order of 1933, many gold coins went to Europe to pay foreign debt. Like this group, those coins sat in bank vaults together for decades, and after restrictions were lifted, they continued to gradually make their way back to the U.S. Luckily for collectors today, that time sitting untouched gave them the “perfect color and look.”

Featuring the traditional Liberty portrait, and the Variety 2 reverse with motto IN GOT WE TRUST, these collector favorites were struck over a century ago at the San Francisco Mint. Each coin was hand-selected by our experts for eye appeal – in Extra Fine condition. Don’t wait – they’ll go fast!
